  • INSTANT WHIP WORKSHOP (+£18 FOR MATERIALS BUT TAKE THE WHIP YOU'VE MADE HOME - LAST TICKET SALE FOR THIS 2nd FEB)

NOTE:  All the activites have the potential to be dangerous/harmful.  Safety equipment is provided, but all attendees are expected to act/behave in a safe manner.  Anyone seen to be ignoring safety procedures or acting in an unsafe manner will be asked to leave the festival with no refund offered.

  • What should I wear?

    Safety equipment will be provided, but notably for whip-cracking, long sleeved/legged clothing is recommended and if you have a wide brimmed hat bring it along (although any hat to protect your head/ears will help).          Also please do come and show off your Western Clothing if you have any.

  • Is food provided?

    Food will be only be provided on site to those who have pre-purchased a food ticket.  Tea and coffee will however be provided to everyone free of charge.

​

  • Do I have to be there for registration?

    YES.  You will need to sign some forms at the beginning of the day and there will also be a mandatory safety briefing.  Non attendance means no entry.

​

  • Do I need my own whips / knives etc. ?

    No.  All equipment will be provided, but if you have your own, you are welcome to bring it and as long as it is safe (get knives checked by range officer before using), you are welcome to use it.

​

  • There will be an open stage for anyone who would like to demonstrate any of their skills to the rest of the group (usually at the end of the day and we are all friendly so don't be shy).  Please use the contact from below or e-mail us direct at    westernskillsfestivaluk@gmail.com    if you are interested in this.

Whips for Sale
​
  • We have two whips for sale, the proceeds of which will help support the future of the festival so if you've been looking to add to your collection then bring some cash with you!

​

  • They are 3 belly bull whips with lead shot cores and 10” spring steel handles. The black and red one is slightly longer @ 6 1/2ft . The blue and silver is 6ft.  Both are finished with two 7lead 6 bight gaucho fan knots with an interweave.
